Dear Students

Çankırı Karatekin University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Midwifery started its science and education adventure in 2019-2020 academic year. Our department is an institution that continues to train midwives at the undergraduate level with its quality education program, strong academic staff and infrastructure in accordance with the European Union`s Midwifery Education standards.

Midwifery is a special profession that is the heart of public health, guides families to make happy, peaceful and healthy beginnings to life, and stands by them with loving and knowledgeable professional members at birth, one of their happiest and most sensitive times. In order to achieve this, it is important that they are individuals who can improve their own health, have high awareness and love for human beings.

The aim of our department is to train midwives who can work with all their strength for our country in the light of Atatürk`s principles and revolutions, protect and improve the health of the individual, family and society by considering ethical values and human dignity, and serve as an effective member of the multidisciplinary treatment and health care team.
